Spectoda now supports DMX, sACN, and ART-NET. Bidirectionally.

Autor: Denisa Jindřichová, 25. 8. 2025

No compromises. You no longer have to choose between wireless freedom and a traditional console, between digital animation and standardized DMX. Spectoda is now fully compatible with DMX protocols – both input and output.

And that's not all. We now also accept signals via sACN and ART-NET, the very protocols you know from professional scenography systems.

What does this mean in practice?

DMX output

Selected Spectoda controllers function as DMX masters. You can use them to control RGBW spotlights, moving heads, decoders, and other lighting fixtures – conveniently, directly from the Spectoda app. Locally and remotely.

DMX input

Lighting consoles and other DMX devices can now also control digital LED strips connected to our controllers. You switch scenes as you are used to – but without unnecessary cables. Communication between controllers remains wireless, with animation quality up to 100 fps.

Network integration: sACN and ART-NET

We also support network protocols common in pixel mapping, scenography, and large-scale installations. Whether you need Spectodu as a receiver or a source, it will fit seamlessly into your system.

Who is it for?

Lighting designers – connect new elements to existing infrastructure
Technicians and operators – save time because the signal runs without cabling.
Architects and integrators – no need to worry about lighting fixture limitations.
Production companies and agencies – because "it can't be done" is no longer an answer.

What can you control?

From a single system, through a single application, you can combine, for example:

  • LED strips via the Spectoda DMX protocol
  • DALI downlights
  • DMX spotlights and moving heads
  • Video mapping from Resolume Arena or other software

Locally and remotely. Manually and automatically.

This integration opens up completely new possibilities for multifunctional spaces where it is necessary to combine multiple types of lighting fixtures without complex infrastructure.

Technical requirements

DMX, sACN, and ART-NET support is available on select Spectoda controllers with RS-485 and/or Ethernet interfaces.
