A space that breathes. Thanks to the bar's clever backlighting.
For the NOEL restaurant at Masaryčka, we designed smart backlighting for the glass block bar that smoothly changes the atmosphere according to the time of day.
NOEL is not just a restaurant. It's a mood that changes with the time of day. And light has become its language.
In collaboration with the dvoutakt studio (Max Koreis and Roman Mareš), we created a bar in the heart of Masarycka that does not draw attention to itself by force, but by natural radiation. In both a literal and figurative sense - the backlit luxfer counter changes according to what the space requires. We used WS2815 digital LED strips that handle smooth colour transitions and subtle lighting effects. Twelve SC Pixel Pro controllers and smart control via the Spectoda App take care of everything.
With preset scenes (dinner, cocktail night, quiet lunch) always at hand, the staff can adjust anything to suit the mood, the season or an unexpected event.
It's like a remote control for the emotion of the space.
Done in 4 weeks - because we know how to work with time
We've done a lot of things with dvoutakt studio (e.g. Lucerna Café Bar) - and it went smoothly here too. They built the bar, we supplied the lighting - from design to installation. In less than a month it was ready.
The bar at NOEL is proof that light can be a central element without overwhelming the space. It can be subtle, energetic, playful or completely unobtrusive. With just one click, the space is transformed.
