Naples atmosphere in the heart of Prague
Lighting control of a new pizzeria in the Máj department store for a perfect atmosphere combining functional and scenic elements.
A new pizzeria has opened on the second floor of the Máj House of Fun on Národní třída. It is part of a modern food hall and its interior continues the tradition of Neapolitan pizzerias. Warm colors, bold details, and a relaxed atmosphere contrast with the city's hustle and transport visitors to Italy.
Our task was to design and deliver a complete lighting control system so that the individual layers of light work together and emphasize the character of the space.
Light as part of the experience
The lighting combines functional and atmospheric elements. During the day, it adapts to traffic and creates different moods based on current needs.
We controlled:
- Spotlights to highlight the pizza menu.
- DALI panels in the suspended ceiling for basic area lighting.
- Illuminated signs and the pizzeria logo.
- Silicone tubes with digital LED strips that gently shape the space and add depth.
All lighting elements are connected into one system. Light changes smoothly, without disruptive differences or abrupt transitions.
Simple controls for operators
The whole system is connected to Spectoda App. Operators have preset scenes in the app and can easily switch between them depending on the time of day or occupancy. Technically, it is a complex solution, but in day-to-day operation everything is simple and clear.
Result
The new pizzeria in Máj now offers functional and atmospheric lighting that supports the Neapolitan character of the interior while giving operators full control over light. The lighting responds to the space, traffic, and time of day. It is not just a technical element, but part of the overall experience.
