Scenic lighting control in the Kingdom of Railways
We follow up on the successful first phase of modernization and expand the system into new parts of the exhibition.
The Kingdom of Railways is one of our long-term and heartfelt projects. Not only because it is a unique tourist attraction, but also because it is located approximately two hundred meters from our Prague offices. We are all the more delighted that we were able to follow up on the first phase of lighting modernization and extend the control system to new parts of the exhibition.
After the successful implementation in the original premises, the Kingdom of Railways decided to expand its exhibition. This naturally led to the need to build on the existing lighting concept and ensure that the newly added parts functioned as a natural part of the whole, both from a technical and experiential point of view.
Second-phase goals
- Extend the existing lighting control system to new parts of the exhibition.
- Maintain the continuity of lighting scenes such as day, night, storm, sunrise, and sunset.
- Ensure newly added installations connect seamlessly to the original solution.
- Enable simple management of the entire system from a single location.
Technical solution
Thanks to the modular design of the original system, it was possible to easily integrate the new components without major changes to the existing infrastructure. We again collaborated with our partner Lumbio, whose LED profiles combine warm and cool white with digital RGB strips and allow highly detailed scenic lighting. As in the first phase, each new light is equipped with its own controller and connected to the Spectoda system.
Result
The new parts of the exhibition now function as a natural continuation of the original installation. Visitors cannot tell where the older space ends and the new one begins. Lighting scenes transition smoothly, the system behaves consistently, and the whole installation feels compact.
From an operational point of view, the client now has:
- Unified control of the entire complex via Spectoda App.
- The possibility of future expansion without additional data cabling.
- An energy-efficient solution with a long service life.
