Scenic lighting control in the Kingdom of Railways continues with the second stage

Autor: Denisa Jindřichová, 9. 2. 2026

The Kingdom of Railways is one of our long-term and heartfelt projects. Not only because it is a unique tourist attraction, but also because it is located approximately two hundred meters from our Prague offices. We are all the more delighted that we were able to follow up on the first phase of lighting modernization and extend the control system to new parts of the exhibition.

After the successful implementation in the original premises, the Kingdom of Railways decided to expand its exhibition. This naturally led to the need to build on the existing lighting concept and ensure that the newly added parts functioned as a natural part of the whole, both from a technical and experiential point of view.

The goal of the second phase

The main goals were:

• to extend the existing lighting control system to new parts of the exhibition,

• to maintain the continuity of lighting scenes such as day, night, storm, sunrise, and sunset,

• to ensure that the newly added installations seamlessly connect to the original solution,

• to enable simple management of the entire system from a single location.

Solution

Thanks to the modular design of the original system, it was possible to easily integrate the new components without the need for major changes to the existing infrastructure. Once again, we collaborated with our partner Lumbio, whose LED profiles combining warm and cool white with digital RGB strips allow for the creation of highly detailed scenic lighting. As in the first phase, each new light is equipped with its own controller and connected to the Spectoda system.

Technologies used

Spectoda Controller Industry A for controlling lighting scenes via DALI (for white and RGB channels)

• Central management of lighting modes via the Spectoda App

Result

The new parts of the exhibition now function as a natural continuation of the original installation. Visitors cannot tell where the older space ends and the new one begins. The lighting scenes flow smoothly into one another, the system behaves consistently, and the whole appears compact.

From an operational point of view, the client has at their disposal:
• unified control of the entire complex,
• the possibility of further future expansion,
• an energy-efficient solution with a long service life.

Long-term cooperation that makes sense

The Kingdom of Railways is an exceptional project for us. Not only because of its complexity, but also because it is literally around the corner. We therefore appreciate all the more the trust that the operators repeatedly place in us when expanding and further developing their exhibitions.
