Spectoda is once again setting new standards in lighting control, this time in the newly opened Lucerna Cafe Bar in Vodičkova Street in Prague. This project is a perfect example of how innovative technology can transform a commercial space and make lighting a pleasure.

Lucerna Cafe Bar: a New Pearl in the Heart of the City

On November 15, a new Lucerna Cafe Bar opened in Prague on Vodičkova Street, expanding the Lucerna Music Bar and Lucerna Pub family. This unique space, which serves as a daytime café and evening bar, offers visitors not only a great gastronomic experience, but also a visual treat thanks to its unique design and atmosphere.

The unique design was created by combining old and new

The interior design was created by Max Koreis and Roman Mareš from the 2takt studio. The main element is the metal-printed lights at the limit of possible size, made in the traditional way. The lighting is connected to a control system from Spectoda, which provides simple and efficient control. The graphic design of the space was designed by Studio Najbrt to follow the visual identity of Lucerna Music Bar.

"When designing Lucerna Cafe Bar, we also focused on the backlighting of our unique bar, which is based on the historical motif of Lucerna. In conjunction with Spectoda, we were able to incorporate modern LED lighting into the space, including control," says Max Koreis, co-author of the interior design.

All lighting is controlled simply, practically and efficiently

Spectoda was commissioned to supply complete control of the luminaires in the space. Our control system has thus become a unifying element in a space with diverse lighting. We provided both the dimming of more than 70 artistic trumpet-shaped chandeliers, as well as the LED panels located in the bar, which glow dimly hidden underneath the artistically perforated sheet metal.

Our solution allows for personalized lighting control via a mobile app. Different users thus have different control rights. Administrators can set new animations and scenes, while the operator only has rights to switch scenes during the day.

We are proud that our system has become a key part of this unique space in a prestigious location. The whole collaboration was smooth and quick, a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellent customer service.
